In a world where most occupations require less and less physical activity, it has become imperative that people supplement that activity with some form of fitness to sustain their overall health. Unfortunately, fitness as a whole tends to be dominated by younger folks, making it more challenging for middle to older folks to really embrace the benefits. If only there was a place where one could learn to improve their physical health, specifically through a plan tailored to their goals and fitness needs.  

As a longtime fitness enthusiast, trainer, and former biology professor, my intention is to bring on clients and help them improve their overall health through functional strength training. I believe my age and experience provides a unique connection to folks in this age group. More than likely, you are not training for the Olympics so what you need is a realistic approach to essentially make you look better in your clothes; while increasing your stamina and general mood at the same time. No, I’m not going to put you through hours on the treadmill or work you till you can’t get out of bed. I’m going to help you realize your best self and put you back on the track to your best life. 

All equipment is provided and while not as vast as a modern gym, is more than sufficient to get the job done in all aspects you will need.

These in-depth and personalized trainings will also increase your overall metabolic rate, something essential to losing unwanted weight. Additionally, it will bring back the ability to fully participate in activities and hobbies that may have fallen off as you have gotten older. Starting something like this is always challenging. Maybe you don’t know what exercises to do, how to do them, how often to do them, or maybe you just need someone to hold you accountable. I can be all those things for you. You can just show up, do your work, and get back to your life. In 30 years of fitness training, I have never heard a single person say “Wow, that workout was such a waste” or “I’m so disappointed I worked out today”. Become the person you want to be. Sessions are offered 6 days a week in the morning, in one-hour slots. We offer monthly membership for people who want to be more committed. There is no contract and you are free to quit any time. Both men and women are welcome. If no times are available, we can put you on a wait list and contact you when times open up.

PROGRAM INFORMATION & POLICIES:

  •  At your first session you will be given a Personal Training questionnaire to ensure that we start you out at the appropriate level for your personal fitness and goals.

  •  Each program is customized and created to meet the needs of your goals and ideal outcome.

  •  Personal training sessions are 50 minutes long.

  •  Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your training session. We will begin promptly at your scheduled time.

  •  Training sessions cannot be scheduled without payment.

 WHAT TO BRING:

  • Water Bottle or sports drink: Water is not provided on site.

  • Small workout towel: So you don't have to get in your car sweaty or when using equipment.
